Bread Barbershop is an animation studio established in Gwangju, South Korea, in 2016 by Director Ji-hwan Jung, who worked on Pororo, Tayo, and Johnny Express, and Producer Hyun-ah Ko, who participated in the production of Larva and Rotary Park. With support and investment from the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency and Daekyo Investment, the studio produced the animated series Bread Barbershop, which first aired on KBS in 2019 and has since been broadcast across major domestic channels. Bread Barbershop has successfully launched five seasons and three theatrical films, while expanding its IP into exhibitions, pop-up stores, performances, publishing, merchandise, and various brand collaborations. The studio is also actively pursuing global distribution and licensing, with the IP currently expanding across major markets in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
