<Where is the future of
the Republic of Korea’s military headed?>
The military portrayed in GHOST is unlike the one we know.
It is the world of professional soldiers — where the barracks
are their society, and service itself is their life.
We’ve caught glimpses of their world, but never truly
looked inside. This story delves into the realities of non
commissioned officers and officers, promotions and
discharges, obedience and defiance, success and failure —
life and death. While GHOST may not completely transform
how we perceive the military, it seeks to spark reflection on
where patriotism and sacrifice truly come from.
