Summary

1. Project Overview

Genre: Romantic Comedy, Fantasy, Horror, Human Drama

Format: Short-form Drama (Approx. 1-2 mins per episode / 50 Episodes)

Writer: Vivian

2. Logline
After a disastrous proposal, Min-chul accidentally gets bound to a "Virgin Ghost" through a spiritual wedding. He must win her heart and secure a "divorce" within 49 days, or he’ll be dragged into the afterlife with his ghostly bride forever.

3. Concept & Mission

A Fresh Twist on Romance: This story explores the irony of having to "marry" a ghost to learn the value of life, and needing a "divorce" to save one's own soul.

Emotional Rollercoaster: A fast-paced blend of spine-chilling horror, laugh-out-loud comedy, and a heartbreakingly beautiful romance that transcends the boundary between life and death.

Growth through Loss: It portrays the growth of a ghost who finds peace by letting go, and a man who discovers the true meaning of love through a life-threatening ordeal.

4. Synopsis
On the day AD Min-chul loses his engagement ring in a gutter during a failed proposal to his girlfriend, Da-seul, he returns home to find a mysterious woman named So-eun. Due to a shaman’s clumsy mistake, Min-chul has been soul-married to So-eun, a virgin ghost, instead of a deceased namesake.

A glowing "Red Thread of Fate" now binds their wrists, and So-eun begins to haunt Min-chul, acting like a jealous wife and sabotaging his relationship with Da-seul. However, the stakes are lethal: if Min-chul cannot convince So-eun to "divorce" him and sever the thread within 49 days, he will die and be taken to the underworld. What starts as a desperate struggle to survive turns into a poignant journey of healing as they face the final sunset together.

5. Key Characters

Min-chul (Male, early 30s): A hardworking TV AD whose life turns upside down when he becomes a "Ghostly Husband." He is caught in a hilarious yet tense tug-of-war between his living girlfriend and his dead wife.

So-eun (Female, deceased in her 20s): A spirited ghost who died without ever experiencing love. Though she starts as a mischievous intruder, she carries a deep, hidden longing from her past life.

Da-seul (Female, late 20s): A cafe owner and Min-chul’s long-time girlfriend. She is bewildered by Min-chul’s erratic behavior and the mysterious female voice that seems to follow him everywhere.

Shaman Su-hyeok (Male, 30s): The clumsy shaman responsible for the spiritual mix-up. While trying to fix the mess, he often provides comic relief and crucial guidance on the "Rules of the Afterlife."
