Summary

When the spoiled heiress tells her powerful father—chairman of the Daehan Group—that she wants to actually work, he randomly ships her off to a remote high school in Jeju Island… as a teacher. Shortly, what begins as a strange career detour quickly spirals into supernatural chaos.

Targeted by a deadly yokai known as a Jeong-yeom-gwi, a mysterious and brutally cold young man named Ban appears and slays the creature in a flash. But the rescue is short-lived—Ban turns on Miho and tells her she'd be better off dead than hunted. Desperate, Miho proposes a deal, saying she’ll pay him every time he kills one of the monsters that are now after her. Intrigued, Ban agrees, and she receives a magical necklace to hide her life force during the day.
But Miho begins to realize Ban himself may be the most dangerous monster of all. Terrified yet trapped, she secretly recruits a kind-hearted exorcist, Yohan, to protect her, suspecting a horrifying truth: Ban may be behind the string of murders sweeping the island.

Meanwhile, Miho is haunted by the suicide of a troubled student she once dismissed—Gyobin. She begins receiving texts from his number, declaring her judgment day has come. As she digs into these cryptic messages, Ban is always one step ahead, waiting where the clues lead.

As the island is overrun by monsters that shouldn’t even exist there, Ban reveals that the entire island has been sacrificed to summon the goddess Kali, all orchestrated by a cult that used Gyobin as the ultimate offering.
