Summary

Ex-cop Jo Seoran becomes a tarot master to find her runaway sister, Seohee, in Gangnam’s red light district. Her clients know her only as “Madame Tarot”. One day she gets a call from the police that Seohee is dead. But the victim isn’t Seohee, but someone using her identity. The murder mirrors their mother’s death, resembling the Ten of Swords tarot card. Realizing the killer is targeting her family, Seoran sets out to find Seohee before it’s too late.
Seoran uses her tarot reading skills to gather information from women in the red light district. She uncovers a murder with no witnesses and finds a crucial clue in a tarot card, solving the case. This brings her into conflict with her ex-husband, Detective Yuhan, who doubts her methods but eventually enlists her help. Together, they use tarot readings to build profiles of suspects and victims, predicting crucial evidence and uncovering hidden motives.
Yuhan still loves Seoran and struggles to remain objective as a detective. This puts him in a constant dilemma between his professional duty and his personal feelings. Despite his skepticism, Yuhan always sides with Seoran, providing support and protection.
As tensions rise, Seoran realizes the killer is closer than she thought. With time running out, she must decipher the tarot messages to save her sister and uncover the truth behind her family’s murders.
Madame Tarot combines the visual imagery of tarot cards with the suspense of a serial killer thriller, exploring the complex relationship between Seoran and Yuhan amidst the danger.

1. Seoran (30 / female tarot master, former police officer)

Seoran never broke the rules, and that's why I became a cop. However, Seoran lost her sister while following the standard police procedures. Because there are places where the rules don't work. But sometimes, to catch a killer, you have to be willing to bend the rules. And now, as a tarot master, I have the freedom to do so.

2. Yuhan (33 / Seoran's ex-husband and detective)
Seoran was a junior police officer and he was her senior. However, despite their divorce, Seoran and her ex-husband still have to work together on the serial killer case. This creates tension between them that makes it difficult to work together effectively.
