Summary
The Painter of Truth is an AI and 2D hybrid animated feature about Dohwaseung, a cursed monk-painter who journeys to break the curse placed on him by Yeoksin, the god of plague.
When Yeoksin asks Dohwaseung to paint his portrait, Dohwaseung reveals him not as a beautiful figure, but as a hideous demon. Enraged, Yeoksin leaves him with the Curse of Hyeonmuk, which drains life from anything his body touches.
In search of a cure, Dohwaseung meets Ran, a girl whose parents were taken by Yeoksin. Bound by revenge and redemption, they travel to Basila, a golden city where miracles, faith, and wealth hide a darker truth.
The Painter of Truth is an Eastern fantasy adventure about curses, faith, desire, and salvation, following two travelers as they uncover the darkness beneath a city of gold.

We have actively embraced generative AI and are building a new production pipeline that combines AI with traditional 2D animation workflows. Rather than treating AI as a simple support tool, we use it as a production method that expands the possibilities of imagery, movement, and direction in animation.
At RAWD, the focus is not technology itself, but the work. We place characters, worldbuilding, storytelling, direction, and motion at the center of our process, combining the speed of AI with the sensibility of creators to develop a more flexible and practical way of producing animation.
From original IP development to external IP-based content, RAWD covers planning, visual development, animation production, editing, compositing, and post-production, aiming to become a new kind of animation studio for the AI era.
