Summary
A cake bakery for the one and only funeral cake, specially customized to grieve the dead with love and longing. Those who sent away their loved ones to the land in between life and death, the Purgatory, head to Yeon-ok Dang to tell chef Mago and her ghost assistant Miro what the dead loved or liked, and what memories they shared. She listens to their stories and bakes a warm-hearted cake full of good luck, hoping the dead to safely reach the door leading to next life.
This omnibus story of bidding farewell to loved ones first received great attention on the crowdfunding platform Tumblbug, reaching an incredible funding rate of 4,400%. The writer-illustrator Sanho is here to leave a mark in readers’ heart with a strong, touching story using only two colors: red and black. The series concluded with its third volume in October 2025, which reveals that Mago, owner of Yeon-ok Dang, is actually the Crow God ruling Purgatory and explains how she came to make funeral cakes on Earth.
