Summary
"The Day Before Demolition" is a 4-minute-49-second photorealistic short drama produced entirely through AI — from concept to image, video, voice, and music generation (2026). Seoyun, an architect, works with an AI device that reads a physical space and reconstructs the memories of those who once lived there. Her younger brother Minwoo died in an accident shortly after the family moved out of their old house, and their mother has carried that loss for decades. When the mother says she wishes she could see him just once more, Seoyun finds their childhood home on a demolition list — scheduled for the very next morning. She has it postponed by one day and brings her mother there, where the mother's own memories rise over the ruins: Minwoo at six, the siblings measuring their heights, pancakes on a rainy day, Minwoo returning in uniform to embrace his younger mother. The mother reaches out, but her hand stops in the air.
