Summary

Exhausted by life and emotionally numb, college student Lee Sara enters into a contract with Lucien, a demon who collects
human emotions through kisses. In exchange for selling her sadness and gaining peace, Sara acquires extraordinary abilities
heightened persuasion, intuition, and near-manipulative control slowly transforming into an increasingly “perfect” being. But as
each emotion disappears, her humanity and sense of balance begin to collapse. Meanwhile, Lucien, once merely her contractor,
starts to develop genuine feelings for Sara, crossing a forbidden line.
Sara’s former lover, Jung Ha-jun, uncovers the truth behind the Emotion Exchange while trying to save her. In a desperate act
of love, he chooses to shoulder the emotions Sara has sold away. As Sara continues to lose her feelings, Lucien becomes
addicted to emotion and spirals toward destruction, while Ha-jun begins to break under the weight of love and sacrifice. When
their entangled relationship threatens the system itself, Bella, a manager of the Emotion Exchange, intervenes to restore order.
The three are faced with a final ultimatum: if emotional balance is not restored within 30 days, one of them will be erased.
To prevent annihilation, Lucien relinquishes his existence as a demon, choosing to transfer all his emotions and memories to
Sara. The Emotion Exchange collapses, and Lucien is reborn as a human with no memories of his past. Though he remembers
nothing, he instinctively protects Sara, while she, having reclaimed her emotions, resolves to take responsibility for her own life.
Love is no longer a contract, but a choice and the two begin a new life as imperfect, feeling humans.
