In the heart of Cape Town, where nature and humanity exist in perfect harmony, lives Cornelia, a one-legged woman who runs the instrument repair shop Westwood Vibrato. With the help of her ever-loyal penguin, Kuku—who has a mischievous habit of pecking at customers who dare to mistreat her—Cornelia spends her days carefully repairing instruments while listening to the fascinating stories of those who visit her shop.

At the same time, Cornelia shares a complicated relationship with Allen, her doctor—one that hovers between friendship and something deeper, and everything changes when Rachel, Allen’s older sister, moves into the house next door to Cornelia. Sensing the bond between them, Rachel eagerly decides to play Cupid. Then, one fateful day, Allen confesses his feelings for Cornelia. In a moment of confusion, Cornelia hesitates and avoids giving an immediate answer. When his absence leaves her unsettled, she searches for him, only to discover that he may never return from his family’s estate in England.
