Summary
<KIST Town Hall Meeting> It is a large-scale two-way communication program designed to listen to the voices of students who are the leaders of the school and reflect them in the vision in the process of establishing mid- to long-term development strategies to mark the 100th anniversary of the opening of the school. Rather than a unilateral vision declaration ceremony, it can be seen as a 'campus public forum' where the president and students design the future of the university from an equal position, and a 'town hall meeting' model within the university community.
The main content is as follows
Planning Intent: The key is to elevate students who were the main agents of university management to "co-creators" of university vision design, promote various tasks in the university through casual conversations among members, and establish a practical communication channel that reflects students' creative ideas in actual school policies.
Main Target: Undergraduate and master's students directly affected by the university's educational and research environment. These target groups of MZ and Alpha students who lead voices on the right to learn and welfare and are proficient in anonymous platform communication. They also include other university officials and educational policymakers who dream of innovating university governance, as well as young science and engineering students and parents who want to enter KAIST and experience the school's culture and vision in advance.
How it works: The university president will first present core values and strategies to students to mark the centennial, and then engage in a discussion where they will answer real-time questions from the field through a shared, real-time, two-way communication platform.
