FIGGLES: We Run This Park Now (And Twenty-Five Other Things We Did Not Plan For)
The humans stopped coming back.
Not on a lunch break. Not on vacation. Just—gone.
Keys on the hook. Lights switched off. Front gate locked from the outside.
For thirty days, the animals of Figgles Park waited politely.
On day thirty, a rhinoceros named Roy picked up a clipboard, looked at the empty road one final time, and said one word:
“Enough.”
What happens next is either the most magnificent thing or the most alarming thing ever to happen in a theme park—depending on who you ask.
Across twenty-six episodes, FIGGLES follows a sprawling cast of fifty mismatched creatures: a rhinoceros with a clipboard, a red panda with a ukulele, a raccoon with a suspicious amount of management experience, and forty-odd others. Together, they seize an abandoned park and try—against every reasonable probability—to run it themselves.
They’ll run out of food.
They’ll fight demolition crews.
They’ll sign deals they really shouldn’t have signed.
They’ll go viral.
They’ll get kidnapped.
They’ll come back.
And by the final page, they will still be here.
A chapter book series for readers ages 7–9.
A story about self-rule, found family, and the quiet, stubborn triumph of refusing to quit—equal parts laugh-out-loud absurd and surprisingly tender.
The kind of book young readers finish and immediately ask, “Is there a next one?”
26 illustrated episodes / ~9 chapters per episode / Full-color art throughout
