Description
Eugene is a first class musician whose dream is to play among the elites in Europe. Coming from a distinguished family, he is an infamous perfectionist; not only is he highly critical of himself, but of others as well. He is arrogant and aloof to others. The only thing stopping Eugene from leaving for Europe is his fear of flying. As a result, he's grounded in Korea. In contrast, Seol Nae-il, is a piano student at the same university, notorious for her messiness and eccentric behavior. Despite being very talented, Nodame prefers to play music by ear, rather than according to the musical score; thus, she is regarded as sloppy, free spirited and playful. When they accidentally meet, Nae-il quickly falls in love, but it takes much longer for Eugene to even begin to appreciate Nae-il's unusual qualities. 'Naeil’s Cantabile' tells the story of Eugene and Nae-il, as they not only learn to deal with each other, but also learn lessons from one another as they strive for the top of the world.
