Company Information
At ULTRAMEDIA, we plan and produce high-qaulity webtoons. Our representative works include <The Horizon>, <Mosquito Wars>, and <The Boxer>, the undisputed No. 1 on Naver Webtoon. In addition, as a transmedia company, we take the lead in expanding and revitalizing the intellectual properties (IPs) of produced webtoons by linking them to various secondary industries such as movies, dramas, animations, games, publishing, etc. We are gaining attention in both domestic and global content/entertainment markets. In July 2024, Shueisha Inc., a Japanese company, published <the Boxer> with an initial print run of 300,000 copies, which was followed by signing an OTT drama contract (scheduled to air in 2026) and an animation production/development contract with a global top-tier company.
In addition, we own a Webtoon Studio capable of producing the best-quality webtoons, and have made notable achievements such as producing and distributing high-quality webtoon IPs across various genres and exporting them to 19 overseas countries.
In recognition of such achievements, ULTRAMEDIA received the Prime Minister's Award in the overseas expansion category at the Korea Content Awards (hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in 2023. More recently, <The Horizon> achieved the feat of being nominated for the 2024 Eisner Award, the Oscars of the comics industry.
Based on such strong track record and business know-how, we are moving forward with the goal of planning, producing, and launching the best webtoon IPs and commercializing them into various secondary businesses.
