When I look at the sky, before the sunlight even reaches me, I now wonder if my mother is living beyond those clouds... I think of her. I recalled the image of her eating the corn she loved, and that inspired me to write this song.v I suddenly remembered Tetsuro from the anime "Galaxy Express 999" that I used to watch as a child, searching through the galaxy for his mother. I thought to myself, "That boy must have felt the same longing as I do now when he looked at the clouds."
ASUKA has been living in a world without her mother for nine years now. Music has filled that empty space, and because of it, I continue to hold on and keep going. For me, the love of my parents feels like the greatest theme in my life. This song is the result of long time and effort. I hope it will become a source of comfort for many people.
