Far out in the universe, there exists a special planet where only cats live—Meow Meow Star.
Like Earth, it is a habitable world, but uniquely, only cats can survive there.
It is a peaceful, loving, and truly magical fantasy land made just for cats.
Among the many cats on Meow Meow Star, there are some who dream of becoming stars.
Unlike others, these cats were born with short tails and clumsy, quirky personalities.
Because of their differences, they are called the "Ugly Mews" on their home planet.
Determined to prove themselves, the Ugly Mews decide to leave Meow Meow Star and chase their dreams on Earth.
After a series of misadventures, they find themselves renting a room in a doghouse, where the landlord is—of all things—a dog!
By day, they work as dog sitters to make a living, and by night, they practice their dance moves, preparing for their big break.
These adorable idol cat trainees have come from the magical Meow Meow Star to Earth,
working as dog sitters by day and dancing their hearts out by night, all in pursuit of their dream of becoming superstar idols!
