GOLDENBOUGH is a traditional book publisher that has published more than 50 genre novels every year since 1996. Since 2017, 'BritG(britg.kr)', an online platform specializing in genre novels, has been opened and has been actively operated for 9 years. It has established itself as an important path for writers currently working at the forefront of genre literature to enter the mass publishing market. We have been doing this and are continuing our efforts to discover new potential writers.
Business Description
GOLDENBOUGH is working to expand the diverse base of domestic genre novels published by the company. We have already sold media, webtoon, and export rights to various novels, and are also operating an IP list web page that systematically promotes and manages them. Representatively, author Lee Young-do's masterpiece 『The Bird that Drinks Tears』 was exported to 17 countries, including the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Brazil, and achieved a cumulative export amount of about 500,000 dollars, becoming a new export of Korean novels.
Furthermore, 『Ice Forest』—a masterpiece by Ha Ji-eun, a leading figure in Korean fantasy literature—is set to be published internationally and adapted into a musical scheduled for release in December 2026. Notably, 『A Week Before I Die』 was released as a TVING original series in 2025 and set a record by exporting publishing rights to 11 countries, including Italy, Poland, Turkey, Germany, France, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Brazil, and Russia.
