Summary

The representative design of the Happly's 24SS season 'Gaehwa(florescence)', It's inspired by Nam Gye-woo's 'Hwajeopdo', which reveals the beauty of 'Korean folk paintings'.

Bustier, Skirt, and Blouse was designed by reinterpreting the characteristics of folk paintings and hanbok.

1. Hwajeopdo malgi bustier
It is a bustier that reinterprets the form of Malgi (the upper part of Hanbok skirt). Instead of a closure, it has corset details to adjust to the body. The floral graphics are inspired by the Korean folk painting "Hwajeopdo (a painting of flowers and butterflies)" to add a touch of beauty.

2. Cropped jeogori with little flower lace
It is a cropped jeogori (jacket) made from a little flower tulle lace. Satin fabric is used for cuffs and dongjeong, placing the colors to match. Lightweight materials and delicate details offer a romantic mood.

3. Hwajeopdo jureum skirt
A skirt that reinterprets the pleats and fullness of a hanbok skirt. The back banding and side zippers ensure a comfortable fit, while the pockets add practicality. Elements from the folk painting "Hwajeonpdo" are beautifully placed all over the skirt.

4. Hwajeopdo Daenggi
Daenggi is a traditional Korean ribbon made of cloth,
which is attached to the end of girls' braided hair as a decoration.
We reinterpreted "Deng-gi" to make it a Korean accessory.
It can also be used as a Twillie.
Crafted from hanbok fabric, it is adorned with ‘Hwajeopdo' motive graphics.
