Yohan was kidnapped as a child and imprisoned for 10 years. During his captivity, he could only read books, play an online chess game with a single opponent, and collect photos of a girl named Lee Dajeong sent by his kidnapper.
The kidnapper continuously sent photos of Dajeong along with his meals, and during his solitary confinement, Yohan began to talk to the photos, eventually falling for her. One day, he discovered a message from the kidnapper: “Lee Dajeong will definitely die in 10 years!!”
Over the 10 years, Dajeong became everything to Yohan, and he started training to protect her.
On the 10th anniversary of his kidnapping, Yohan was released and rushed to the address given by the kidnapper, where he found the real Dajeong instead of just her photos. However, his joy was short-lived as he sensed someone targeting her life and successfully thwarted the threat.
As he continuously protects her from ongoing dangers, he uncovers clues about the person trying to kill Dajeong and reverses the chase on his kidnapper. Eventually, Yohan discovers the identity of the person targeting Dajeong’s life.
This person, Yuda, was also kidnapped and imprisoned by the same kidnapper for 10 years. Unlike Yohan, Yuda spent those years solely thinking about “killing Dajeong,” and he was the only opponent Yohan had been playing chess with.
As the bizarre triangle between Yohan, Dajeong, and Yuda deepens, Yohan’s father and Yuda’s father, Choi Yoon, who is the root of all tragedies, begins to take action.
