Summary

Memoirs is an interactive media installation that casts a warm gaze upon vintage electronics. While media is often criticized, it represents cherished memories for generations raised alongside it—like the excitement of a first TV. The artwork unfolds these technology stories into a loving memoir.
Polaroid cameras and CRT TVs are reinterpreted using facial recognition and real-time 3D physics engines. When visitors face the camera, a photo is taken and drops into a virtual space inside the CRT screen. These images accumulate on a large media wall and automatically upload online for social media sharing, capturing the moment in a contemporary way.
Arranged chronologically from black-and-white CRTs to smart TVs, it explores what changes versus what remains in our lives. By archiving personal moments into a collective record, Memoirs transforms viewing into an engaging experience, expanding into children's museum editions for rest and dialogue.
