Logline
A family takes one last trip with their terminally ill grandmother, only to be stranded in a mountain cabin.
They fight a desperate battle against 'It', a creature that rips off people's heads and eats them.
Synopsis
One Last Family Trip.
Jaehee, a debt-ridden father, Guam, a mother who is contemplating divorce, Mindo, a younger brother who is addicted to video games, and Uji, who hasn't been able to take an exam or find a job in years. They suddenly embark on a family vacation at the request of their grandmother, Yeongok, who has been given a time-limited sentenced. The weather is bad and the typhoon is intensifying. As they approach their destination, a mountain cabin, Uji sees a woman running toward the car in the rain and wind. Just in time, she is caught in a landslide and plunged down a cliff. Yeongok dies on the spot.
Neither man nor beast.
The family heads back to the cabin to recover from their injuries and escape the typhoon, leaving Yeongok's body behind. As they make their way through the forest, Uji has visions, as if possessed. Soon after, the family encounters Seo, who resembles the woman from the driveway, and they meet with Mr. Park, owner of the cabin, and head to the cabin, only to see something in the middle of the forest that is neither human nor beast. The family manages to make it to the cabin. But they soon realize that it's not safe here either. The only road has been washed away by a landslide, communications are completely cut off, and the rain and wind are relentless.
Murder in and around the cabin.
Mr. Park is inarticulate, and the other guests seem to be hiding something. With the help of the only cooperative Seo, The family goes to retrieve Yeongok's body, but a strange cry echoes from the forest, and in an instant, a violet, fleshy monster appears, rips off Yeongok's head and devours it. It resembles a hippopotamus, but is larger than any beast. The family and Seo barely escape from the thing, but upon their return to the cabin, they hear horrifying news. One of the guests has been murdered with a knife in his back.

The murders don't stop there. While the guests are suspicious of each other, another murder occurs. Soon enough, 'It' reappears and feeds on the bodies of the murdered. Everyone is in shock. Who keeps killing people? What is this unbelievable monster? But then Uji realizes something. The people in this cabin have one thing in common: they've all lost family members. This fact may be their only clue to surviving the killer and 'It'.
