FIRSTMAN STUDIO is a new venture, co-founded by award-winning writer-director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, and his long-time partner, Kim Ji Yeon. After partnering on Korean-language films such as, THE FORTRESS and COLLECTORS, they most recently launched their first original NETFLIX series, SQUID GAME, which was executive produced by Jiyeon under her label, SIREN PICTURES. With an eye towards the future, FIRSTMAN STUDIO aims to be at the forefront of the ever-changing media landscape, with a mission of creating high-concept, Korean-language content for a global audience – adaptable in all languages and any format. Simply put, we aim to be the best.
