Description
Rita’s age is 16. Due to her mother who was excommunicated from the house for being falsely accused as an impure woman and committed suicide, the malice within her awakened. However, as Rita had no power or strength, she gave up living as a noblewoman just to survive. She worked as a waitress in the bar for 10 years. However, what she got was tuberculosis. While she was working concealing his disease as she did not have money to pay, she realized that a wanted criminal in the flyer was a man living next to her house by accident. She concealed the flyer to get a reward, but a few days later, it became of no use when she was diagnosed as terminally Ill.
In front of Rita who was waiting for the day to die in a welfare facility run by Archduke ‘Van Brandt’, Alberhart’s only daughter, ‘Verta’ appears. She provokes Rita by showing traces of self-injury on the wrist in front of her who is terminally ill.
One day, Rita meets ‘Proud Carter’ who visits the facility, again and regains her will to live. Rita remembers that ‘Yersha’ in the flyer is a sorcerer and begs for her life by threatening him but rescuing a person’s life is impossible even with the spell. Instead, he helps her to change her spirit with Verta’s
Rita who became a Verta first meets a butler, Ian. She feels suspicion for the butler who harasses her body at any time. At the same time, through the story heard from maids secretly, she understands that Verta’s fiancé is Carter’s right-hand man and Verta hates him.
Real Verta dies. While Verta visits the facility to burn Rita’s body, she greets Archduke ‘Van Brandt’, and Van is surprised by her changed attitude.
When she returns after visiting her sole friend, ‘Julia Shade’s house, she is escorted by Julia’s brother, ‘Blaine Shade.’ To tease Julia who wants to enter the Royal Guard, they put a trap in an illegal brothel. Threatening the general of the Royal Guard who was caught in a trap and whose penis is cut, she prevents Julia from entering the Royal Guard. From this event, Blaine becomes interested in Verta.
