BOXMEDIA, established in 2009, has produced over 3,000 television programs over the past 16 years, including some of South Korea’s most widely viewed shows such as Hidden Singer, Live Info Show, and Love Interference. The company also organizes more than 50 concerts, fan meetings, and music shows annually, maintaining ongoing partnerships with major entertainment agencies.

Expanding beyond its legacy broadcast business, Box Media has successfully entered the new media landscape. Its original YouTube variety series “차린건 쥐뿔도 없지만” (“Nothing Prepared”) has become one of the nation’s top-performing channels, surpassing 4 million subscribers and achieving over 470 million cumulative views.

Business Description

BOXMEDIA operates three core business divisions—Content, Drama, and K-POP—and is structured into six specialized departments:

1) Entertainment & Factual Programming Division
This division produces major variety shows such as My Ugly Love, Ultimate Couples, Birth of a Body Guru, Love Interference, and Hidden Singer.
It also develops widely beloved infotainment programs including Live Info Show and the iconic children’s program Ppoppoppo.

2) New Media & Performing Arts Division
BOXMEDIA operates top-performing YouTube channels such as Nothing Prepared and Seungkwang’s Theater Row, while also expanding into convergence content. Through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Telecom, the company is developing metaverse-based fan meetings and other hybrid media experiences.
In performing arts, BOXMEDIA is producing large-scale musical theater projects including Arirang Odyssey: Sorrow with a Blade and The Man in Hanbok, co-produced with EMK Musical Company.

3) IMU STUDIO (Subsidiary)
IMU STUDIO targets younger audiences through original web dramas and web novels. Its BL (Boys’ Love) series In Class has recorded over 5 billion views in China, establishing a strong foothold in the Asian content market.

4) K-POP Division
This division manages over 50 domestic and international concerts and fan meetings annually. It is also active in artist management, including the development and promotion of rising idol groups such as POW and LEO.

5) Virtual Idol Division
In collaboration with graduate schools specializing in AI and affiliated tech startups, BOXMEDIA is currently developing its own AI-generated virtual idol group, combining advanced character design and voice synthesis technologies.
