Summary

The Kaesong Industrial Complex was perhaps one of the most extraordinary workplaces in the world. Jung Mi-joo, a North Korean technician at Romanson Watch Co., Ltd., one of the companies operating there, was also an exceptionally skilled billiards player. Lim Dong-jin, was an engineering manager who was dispatched to the complex as a technical instructor. The two gradually develop romantic feelings as they work together through technical training and instruction. Then, when a billiards tournament brings them closer, they fall in love—and are swept into a vortex of fate.
Evading the watchful eyes around them, Mi-joo and Dong-jin secretly nurture their love. But when the South Korean government abruptly shuts down the complex amid escalating tensions following North Korea’s nuclear test and long-range missile launch, the two are suddenly torn apart
