Summary
I, the protagonist, am a night guard at a mysterious research institute located in the middle of nowhere. The institute has many different rooms, where each room houses a haunted object.
My job is to walk those halls according to the midnight timetable and check the doors. My senior colleague tells me stories about the institute, its history, and the objects. On one of the boring shifts, I asked her “Hey, have you ever gone through weird stuff here?” And then, she shares a slightly unusual safety tip as if she's been waiting to tell me. Along with all the sad, bizarre, horrific things that happened to the objects and the people who work here.
This novel in stories follows the protagonist as she gets to know more about the objects or the staff, showing they ended up in this place and how they were wounded or even killed by the family, the society or the system. All these stories are horror on their own terms, but what remains after reading this novel will be consolation and salvation.
