Summary

Voyage to the Underworld is an occult historical fantasy set in ancient Korea, where humans, ghosts, spirits, and monsters coexist.

Kang-su, a young nobleman from Gaya who despises war and violence, is cursed by an imugi and becomes a monster himself. After a hundred years trapped in the imugi’s house, he is rescued by Duta-bi, a blind diviner born between a human and a toad who can see supernatural beings at night.

The two become unlikely companions, traveling in search of Yeongchun, a legendary land where monsters are said to live freely. Along the way, Kang-su documents the strange beings they encounter as they uncover the mysteries of Korean ghosts and monsters—and the truth about their own identities.

Blending Korean folklore, occult mystery, and adventure, Voyage to the Underworld offers a distinctive Korean supernatural universe with strong potential for adaptation across multiple media.
