Summary

*The Guardian Twins* is a YA supernatural action series about 17-year-old twin brothers with disabilities who use mystical powers to save teenagers from “It,” an evil spirit that feeds on pain and despair. Blind Geobuk senses “It” through touch, while Namsaeng, who wears a prosthetic leg, tracks it by smell. Their cane and prosthetic leg become powerful weapons in battle.

Inspired by Korean folklore and shamanic traditions, the series turns real teenage struggles with social media, friendship, and family into supernatural threats. Rather than portraying disability as something to overcome, it places disabled characters at the center as heroes.

Author Choi Yoo-jung is a screenwriter and creative producer who has worked with Netflix, MBC, tvN, and EBS, with credits including *Misaeng*, *Arang and the Magistrate*, and *The Bride of Habaek*. Its distinctive characters, visual action, and Korean occult world offer strong potential for webtoon, live-action, and animation adaptations.

Company Profile

Yomong Publishing is a Korean publishing house focused on Young Adult fiction. The name “Yomong” comes from a Korean wordplay: “yo” refers to “today” or “bold/lively,” and “mong” means “dream.” Together, it suggests “dreams of today” or “daring dreams.” It reflects our interest in stories that feel immediate and alive. Under the slogan “Stories You Don’t Want to Wake From,” we develop contemporary narratives for today’s teens and young adults.
From the earliest stages of development, we consider screen adaptation. We collaborate not only with novelists but also with screenwriters and web fiction writers, encouraging storytellers to work beyond the conventions of their original platforms. Our goal is to develop stories with both literary depth and visual expansiveness.
